Katie Elzea, RN, CDCES

Katie has worked in Healthcare for more than 20 years. She worked in a hospital in cardiac care before Diabetes called to her. For the last 10 years she has worked as a Diabetes Educator helping people with all types of Diabetes improve their quality of life.

The COVID pandemic changed her perspective on the treatment of Healthcare workers. She watched as friends and coworkers flamed out from burnout and had meltdowns as thier dreams of helping people fell apart.

She is proud to support WeCare as they support Healthcare workers put themselves first for once.
